HR4Business was founded in April 2025 by Samantha Bonser and Heather McLean, two seasoned HR professionals with a passion for helping small businesses succeed. With over 50 years of combined experience across various industries, Sam and Heather bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
Meet our founders
Samantha Bonser
Samantha Bonser is a seasoned HR Leader with over two decades of experience across industries including retail, rental, construction, and leisure. She holds an Executive MBA from Lancaster University and is qualified to FCIPD level. Samantha has a proven track record in not-for-profit organizations and extensive Board level experience. Her expertise spans employment law, employee engagement, TUPE, redundancies/restructuring, and project management. Samantha is known for her excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercial knowledge, and effective business partnering abilities.
Heather McLean
Heather McLean is a seasoned HR professional with over 30 years of experience across various commercial sectors including food retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and distribution. For the last 17 years, Heather has worked with the SME sector in senior roles, including HR Director at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Heather is passionate about assisting smaller businesses and has developed a reputation for finding solutions to the most complex HR problems. She holds an MBA from the Open University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
